Shooting bands is where I learned that I was a damn good photographer. My pictures were brighter and more energetic than anything I saw in Rolling Stone.  I focus on positioning the performer in the best lighting situations. 

 

It was easy to expand out into other areas.

What makes me different is the the most important thing about the shot is the LIGHTING. I make every effort to capture performers using the stage lighting. I time my shots to the lighting and the beats to the music. Motion tends to match at it’s most exaggerated on the beat. 

 

Getting exceptional shots was a blessing but the stories I’ve gathered are my favorite part of it.
